Looked through a bunch of threads, many discuss theoretical speeds, hills and the like, but not many say what their favorite final drive is, and why?

I have a BBR 26" frame with a stock CG 66 and 44t rear. My bike will do 37+mph, but that's when I really ring it out. Would like to travel about 30 with less RPM. Florida is very flat, but just wanted to get some insight.

Real simple solution...Just drop down to a 36 tooth rear sprocket, that should give you a really nice and pleasing cruising speed without cranking up the RPMs which you certainly don't need in Florida flat land...lol...You will actually wind up with increased top end with this configuration, but will have to pedal assist just a tad from a full stop as you will have slightly less low end torque.

With your setup, it'd take 8630 rpm to do 37 mph. So to do 30 mph with less rpm simply throttle back some. At 7630 rpm using a 48t rear sprocket that too would get you close to 30 mph.

Wouldn't 48 make the engine RPM higher at the same road speed?

Sorry, I like the higher cruising speeds, occasionally, I do push it to max when out in the open. I see there's tons of sprockets, just not sure how much a jump I should make.

Yeah, I hardly clutch from slow, just wasn't sure how much of a difference each size makes. You pretty much answered my question, though. Gonna order a 36 and see.

Then you could just keep your current setup, 6997 rpm will get you 30 mph.
 
With a 36t 5725 rpm would get you 30 mph
That is what he asked for and what he wants to do...Hit his preferred cruising speed using less RPMs than he is presently already using...Hence the reason I recommended he just keep it simple and run a 36 tooth sprocket...That will do what he wants it to do just fine.
 
And 45 is too much. I don't wear PPE and just run errands around work, but with a smaller sprocket, I won't feel like I ran a jackhammer while riding. Vibrations after 6-6500 gets bad in the stock CG.
