I have a question about the choke lever on my NT carburetor. Recently it has developed a tendency to ride upwards while I'm rollin' down the road. It will slowly work it's way up until it entirely blocks the intake at the carb throat (?). Usually it doesn't make it that far before it drowns the motor and stalls, if you let it. I noticed it one night coming home and put a rubber band on it to keep it open, but what I'm looking for is a better fix.

Does anyone know of a good way to tighten up the choke lever and plate assembly? I went the traditional way at first, I just tightened it with a small wrench. After a couple adjustments of the lever during operation it gets all sloppy and loose again.

Double post dude :ROFLMAO:

Others have had that loose choke lever issue
I'm sure a member will chime in shortly with a solution

I'm kinda old school still, I'm not as shave with the tablet as I'd like. So sorry about the double..maybe triple post..

Thank you. I'm sorry, I don't know too well what to do. Still learning the ropes.
No major biggie...lol...Thats one of the reasons why Anton, our forum owner/admin, gave me a delete button...lol...lol.

Ps...Your not the first and certainly won't be the last to do it...lol...lol.

I did a quick search about the loose choke lever

It's said to use a lock washer and put blue loctite on the nut treads so it don't come loose
The lock washer takes up the slop
