Laid her down

Gloves ?
Depends.
For long rides on the push bike in sub-freezing temps, I use a pair of military woolens under a now mismatched 'pair' of FEMA-Mart issue generics OR a pair of really, really old ski gloves.
Too bulky for the MB.
For short rides motorized, I find mechanics' gloves from Shanghai Fleight work rather well, they're fairly tough, surprisingly warm for something so thin and give you enough flexibility to work all those extra controls.....

I have a pair of mechanics gloves. I was thinking about using those. Would save a few dollars over buying something else.

Anything is better than bare skin. My one exception would be if you had a powerful enough motor to get your bike going 40mph or more. At that point get some sort of motorcycle rated glove. Abrasion resistance is important. Even denim jeans shred to nothing in a couple of seconds at higher speeds. This is why I wear riding gear made from ballistic and abrasion resistant fibers.

I still haven't gotten to ride a flat surface of any length to see how fast she goes. Probably not 40 or more mph.

Then you can probably get away with some good tough work gloves. Like I said, anything is better than bare skin. Especially when it comes to your hands. There are some Jersey gloves out there made from fire hose material that would be a great option. That stuff is tough.

What kind of gloves do you guys wear?
I wear these, they have held up for over a year and are very comfortable
