Hey guys Kyle here, I am just starting out my second build (first was a phatmoto212) I am using a smolik cnc crankcase and I am planning on using the best quality components In my bike with the end goal of being able to race. I just received my crankcase with felt faker mounts a few days ago and I’m really early in my build. I’d like to find the best, beefiest frame that will safely handle high speeds. Is the faker the best option as far as frames go for a race bike build, or is there a better option that I can count on for my own personal safety? Thankyou for taking your time to read this, I look forward to hearing your guys input

Them parts sure look nice!!! If I didnt have to join facebook & wait a year for a cnc case, I'd be all over one of them. I'm not sure on frames, but I know a schwinn heavyweight frame would take a beating. But they are heavy as a tank.

Thank you, I waited so long I had all but given up hope of seeing this beautiful case (I ordered june of 2021) I’ll look into the Schwinn heavyweight frame. I definitely want to achieve a fast build but I for sure won’t be skimping on the parts. My first bike build was a phatmoto that I slapped a 212 on. I hit 55 on the first ride but the day after I got the bike finished, the rear axle shaft snapped on me. Thank god I was only doing around 10mph when it happened. I would probably be dead now if I had decided to ride the bike on the road leaving town

Check out a Sportsman's Flyer frames, if you got the money that's what I would buy. Hands down some of the sexiest frames out there.

I’ll go check those out now 😊 I’ll be building my bike at a relatively slow pace. I plan on ordering more parts for the engine early next year (we’re moving soon, once that happens, I’ll be ordering parts a lot more frequently)

Edit: that would be the perfect frame, I’ve always been fascinated with the old board trackers, those guys had balls of steel. If you get the chance, look up a book written in 1906 by Paul N Hasluck, he gives full detailed instructions to build a motorcycle from the ground up, starting with patterns for the castings in the frame and engine, to even making the magneto. It’s got really great drawings to go along with it.
