I don't care about cost I'm more of an artist... I imagine what I want and make it happen... There are compromises and fails... Takes forever... Only the best parts

I guess my thing is there being problem I need to solve. Speed, torque, performance, aesthetic. If there isn't a readily available problem I will find one shortly.

I just struggle with throwing a $99 part on a throw away engine that is built like sh*t and cost similarly. Reminds me of the ricer/tuner guys from highschool who would put $2k exhaust setups on a honda they spent $600 on.

I could imagine thinking "hey I'll have this pipe forever and put it on the next one" - is that how y'all justify the spend?

Or are y'all just hard in on tinkering and don't GAF?

Either way, I kinda get both reasonings lol :)
$99, lol, $99 lol. I spend thousands on this hobby each year. An throw away motor? These bad boys run for years and year and years if you take care of them, just like any other engine. I don't try to justify it at all, I like this hobby, I'll spend as much or as little as I feel like. An if you seen my thread on spending, you'll be able to count up the dollars. lol. It's a lot, and @Mossy he spends like money it is going out of style too. lol. Drop the 99 bucks, you can't bring your money with you when you die.

The secret to motorized bicycle and everything is find something you like in the threads on here and ask a lot of questions about it... I jump around grabbing ideas from everywhere... If you have a budget, shop around and ask about it, figure out the cost and tools required... I have to run power and turn a screened in porch into a workshop... So this winter I'm just getting parts for the future... I know the price and availability of just about everything motorized bicycle out there... Most only know what there building or have in front of them... Everything has to work together in tune... If not, there working against each other and then it's back to asking questions and sometimes it's just something that doesn't seem significant that makes the difference... Like a larger sprocket is going to need a longer chain and so on.

I have no problems making any particular part better or fit, and up here in Canada that part would be a buck and a half. I lucked out when I bought my jog pipe, Amazon had a used one for $41.

Take thoes junk bananna mufllers to a weld shop or if you can weld make your own exhaust for your bike. Have your header be 9in long and in 3 pieces. Each piece increasing in diamieter until it gets to the bananna. Thats what I did anyways. Worked out well.

I can only tell ya that im running a stock Zeda 80 motor, with a stock exhaust, 36 tooth rear sprocket, with a low profile 360 air filter, an NGK-B6HS spark plug gapped at .025, and a BoFeng carby which is a much better improved carby version of the old stock NTs...I have, on a good windless day achieved 51MPH on flat road surface and am able to go 32 to 35 MPH going up hill...My gas/oil ratio is 32:1 using only Amsoil Dominator full synthetic 2 stroke racing oil, and 1 once per gallon of Amsoil Dominator Octane Boost...The only gasoline i use is ethanol-free gas which is all i recommend to use on 2 stroke motors...DAMIEN

@Karl Snarl is the real whiz when it comes to custom exhaust and the modifications needed to the motor setup to run these exhausts properly.
Is there a video or something to validate this claim of 50mph with that setup? Cuz imma be honest, I don't think that's true sir, in fact, I call bulls**t. Make me the as***le and prove it kind sir. Please.

People that know me here would know better than to say what you have just said to me...As far as how fast and how torquey that Zeda 80 was...Ask @Zak here in the forums...He visited me last December and was following me on the main drag through town and then up hill to my church doing so effortlessly...I was an ASE certified master mech, during my work days before retirement...lol...I DO have some Idea as to what I'm doing when I'm building these little beasties...(Pics below of present build with Phantom motor).

I am now on the Phantom 85 motor...even faster, but if you had ever read any of my posts, I still only like cruising at 30 to 35 MPH which is comfortable for a 67 year old

Ps...Not really too nice of you to use the wording you just did in your post I might add...Especially disguised cuss words.
