Did I ruin my engine?

Maybe all that pressure built up in the engine and blew a crank seal.

Check the wiring to the CDI and kill switch. Definitely could have done some damage even though the muffler stayed on I'm sure it moved some what and could have burnt or dislocated a connection. It's happened to me it is def something simple. No way you tanked a motor from the exhaust coming loose

did that... torqued them to 12 ft/lbs. still nothing... not even a sputter
Isn't 12 ft/lbs a little much for these little engines? I only torqued mine to 150 in/lbs. And for the no start problem just go through the general trouble shooting process.

Here, this has some good info.

Hey guys...Did anyone even look at the date when the OP started this thread???...He made a total of 5 posts all on this thread he started and hasn't been bothered to come back since June 16th 2022...Please look for the dates on these threads/posts so we do not having them run into perpetuity...lol.

If someone else really comes here looking for info like this, they can start their own thread, each problem that comes up deserves its own brand new thread for getting better and more up to date responses.

I can't believe anyone would cut a gasket and INSTALL it without noticing that they didn't make a hole for the exhaust gases to pass through. How?
