Easy way to mount a homemade aluminum tank, Without brazing or welding

All thread. Just unthread one end...
Rivet nuts are basically what I used...

I guess I didn't make it clear that I used aluminum tube that goes through the tank. Each end is spread and flared with JB weld to seal it. If you flared it perfectly you probably wouldn't even need JB weld...

I'll go back and put an edit in the post.
Yeah, I couldn't see exactly what you were doing by the pics

I see there's a method to your madness (y)

Chain is that stuff any good? Have you used any of it. What's it take to melt it. Will propane work or does it need to be mapp gas? Thanks.
I welded a case with it, I broke the side removing a chain.

To seal around those tubes I'm sure it would be sufficient. I just used my propane torch.

Your procedure reminds me of how I pin my knife scales. I do a pin & tube assembly & it's similar in how you set your tubes in the tank. Did you find that lil dog in the tank?🤣😂🤣
Yep I've done hollow handle pins and peened pins too.
Thats Melvin, just wanted to keep a light sense of humor. He's a character.

I've been wanting to get into brazing but wasn't sure what stuff to get that flowed the best.
There's some stuff called Super Alloy 5 that's good but its pretty expensive.
How does that stuff work? Does it flow into the cracks at all?

Yeah I heard that super alloy 5 is the bee's knee's great stuff, but like you said super expensive. I'm might have to try some of the cheaper stuff.

There's some stuff called Castolin Eutectic 190. I think its similar and you might be able to find it cheaper.

Would it be OK if I welded a stud to the bottom of my cross bar?
If I was going to do that, I'd drill through the frame and weld the all-thread on the top and bottom of your frame tube. I'd also use the thickest all-thread possible and consider using 3 or even 4 studs.

Edit: Use the thickest all-thread possible without compromising structural integrity. On the other hand, the more studs you use the thinner they can be.

I beveled the edges on both sides of the break so the rod would metal into the joint. You just heat the piece to be welded and then touch the rod to the piece and let it flow in. Even though it says cold weld, you still have to put some heat into the repair.
