Newbie from north GA,just finished my first build.
It started with a old Murray cruiser frame from the 80s I am guessing,I put a mountain bike forks, wheel and front brakes.
Upgraded most of the fasteners, head studs, engine mounts, intake and exhaust, etc and put lock tight on all fasteners.

It cranked fine but wouldn't rev, moved clip on carb needle and ran fine after that,it just has a serious lack of power up and hill above 10 percent grade,it has a 44 tooth sprocket with 26 inch wheels but It is still in the break in stage.

It is a standard China girl 66 without any modifications other than a NGK plug, the jetting looks close to me going by the plug color, dark brown color.View attachment 189364
Welcome to Motoredbikes.com Squiddly,
You'll find taking care of a M/B takes 10x more maintenance than a M/C

But in a parking lot full of M/C your M/B will get 10x more attention. (y)

We got one of those old drive-in burger joints still in existence from the 50s here in town and you ain't just a kiddin...lol.

Whenever I ride my bike to get a burger there, the MC bikers that are always there flock around my bike like vultures to a dead body...lol.

Thanks for the welcome,I am still running the same spark plugs for 12 years in my yamaha virago, changed out a brake caliper, oil changes and 3 batteries
I spent a week putting the motor bike together and still tweaking and tuning.

And I want to thank everyone on this forum for all the tips and tricks I read before I even started working on it.
