Has anyone bought this pipe?

In theory they actually can. The principles of resonance wave tuning work with exhausts, and you could time the pulse wave to return at the right time to have the same effect as an expansion chamber. I doubt anybody wants to ride around like that though, as the header pipe ends up being quite long. Not to mention, extremely loud.
To be honest a straight pipe will not give the results of a chambered pipe, the convergent or baffle cones angle is what determines the amplitude of the return wave, a straight pipes return wave only produces the blocking pressure required to trap the charge as the piston closes the exh port.
The return waves amplitude is what effectively super charges the cylinder by over powering the in coming fresh charge and over filling the cylinder.

Correction. The convergent gives a strong wave for such a short pipe length through amplification. You would be amazed at how strong the return wave can be utilizing the primary resonance wave length with a straight tube. You would also be surprised how long your exhaust would end up being lol.

The other real advantage of an expansion chamber design is actually in creating a more efficient range of operation. A straight pipe tuned to a strong resonant wave will have a somewhat narrow powerband compared to a properly tuned expansion chamber setup.

My point wasn't to say it's better. Just that it is possible, and it is.

I know how it all works and I even know all of the math behind it. No video needed for me. My points are correct.
You said, and you could time the pulse wave to return at the right time to have the same effect as an expansion chamber. This is not true! For just over 40 years now I've used and applied these formulas and tried it all! A straight pipe has a resonant frequency at one given rpm not a narrow band width, and not able to over fill the cylinder there for not even close to the same effect as an expansion chamber, it's bad enough there is alot of misinformation out there please don't confuse people into thinking they could get away with a much cheaper and easier way to get the results they seek.

It's easy to say it's not true when you completely ignore or discount the other things I said. Good job. (y)

Not once did I say the expansion chamber wasn't superior overall. I simply stated that it can have the same effect, and it can. Same effectiveness? No. I never argued effectiveness, just effect. The effect being the reflection of a pulse from the anode back to the node. I am still right, the primary resonance wave returning to the node can be very strong, and have the same effect as an expansion chamber while utilizing a straight pipe.

If you go back and look at the multliple points I made that explain the superiority of the expansion chamber, you can tell that I am explicitly proving the effectiveness of the expansion chamber is superior.

You argued the wrong point.

Effectiveness comes from the noun effect, which means result. The result is not the same not even close, the point here is that a straight pipes effect is NOT the same as an expansion chamber as you are trying to state.

Sigh...

You need to brush up on how the English language works. You are, again, incorrect.

Effect - a result from a change

Effectiveness - the degree to which something is successful in producing the desired result

Compliments of Merriam Webster.

The effect an expansion chamber has is to take a wave of pressure and send a wave back to the exhaust port.

The effect of resonance wave tuning with a straight pipe creates a wave of pressure that returns back to the exhaust port.

The EFFECT is the same. A wave that returns to the exhaust port

The EFFECTIVENESS is different. Something that I never disagreed with you on from the start.

You're still wrong by arguing the wrong point. You still ignored every other point I made entirely for the desire to seem right and save your ego.

I am done having this discussion if you are going to be so immature. Good day.

Good day

I was scrolling through Amazon and I came across this expansion chamber from cdh power. Just wondering if it would be worth buying. View attachment 189323View attachment 189324
It's a loud pipe with not a whole lot of performance enhancement at all. If you're wanting a pipe to get better performance your best bet is to get a pipe off an 80cc dirt bike and modify it or you can buy mz65 or go to RMH Performance and get something like a Copperhead65. I only say the copperhead cause I got one on one of my stock motors and it improved all around even before any kind of mods and it bolted right up as long as you use a CNC front mount vs bolting straight to frame.. otherwise you have to cut an inch or so out of pipe which sucks... Hope this helps ya out.. RIDE SAFE !!!
