Full Suspension Bicycle

I swear I have seen kits for full suspensions before. They basically install like a rear pannier rack, and are mounted to the rear swingarm only. you would then just route cables, etc. past the pivot point to the handlebars?

he is talking about a frame mount for a f/s...most rack mounts will work fine
just not what he is looking for

crowley, the bicycle in Golden Eagle's link (upper left) is the perfect example of what you're talking about, many more examples in the "rack'em" forum.

Wow....That frame looks like it would work!! ;-)

Now the problem is finding one!

I really wish I could find a new production bike that would be like that one!

Good find tho....I will start a search!

Something a little different

Not meaning to hi-jack the thread, but this is about rear suspension. Since I need to stretch this frame to mount the engine, I've been toying with the idea of adding rear suspension.

I'll probably be using a jackshaft to get the drive aligned with a leftside mounted 48t on a freewheel. I might be able to mount the jack close enough to where the pivot point would be to minimize the pogo effect (And the idea with this is to cruise, not to race). Any opinions? Comments?

Seems like if your pivot points keep the same length and you are able to spring load all the tentioners, it should work like winding a rubberband around your two index fingers then rolling one over the other.

That is quite a classic indeed!

Andrew, there are literally hundreds of frames that are similar in design to that one that can be had for relatively cheap.

I just got a Schwinn hydroformed full susspension 24 speed bike Its an Impact all alunimum frame with the triger shifters. I got three of them all different styles . really cheep but all the rims where bent beond fixable. and one of the pedal cranks was snapped off and another bent. I found out they had gone thru the trash truck compactor. But they are all new bikes?????? I got a set of wheels and got the Impact up and running and was concidering a rear engine for it. T in WV
