Hercules Tricycle

This is my own motorised bicycle, - um... I should say tricycle Basically it's a Hercules heavyweight roadster bicycle that's been fitted with a trike axle kit as well as a 250watt 24volt hub motor. I use it as my 'car' for local journeys and general 'go-fetching'.

Nice! I'm beginning to think electric is the way to go.

It has its advantages - but for me its a range thing - I know that if I need to do 30 miles round trip... that'll be the day that I forgot to charge the thing... for me its hybrid when/if I can afford it - or unless Denny will make me one for christmas *bats eyelashes* lol

Would have been a great bargain for somebody Jemma. The Sachs Duomatic hub is a wonderful invention, totally reliable and very simple to use. I had a 3 speed SA coaster hub on my tricycle before I replaced it with the Duomatic and even though I'm a big fan of the Sturmey Archer 3 speed hub the Duomatic was the better hub overall for my purpose.
