well i just removed the tank 4 now so i should be good, i cant order anythin till tommro, thats when my parents get my dads check, we were sooooooo close to selllin that neon 2 lol then it just fallls apart in the last 3 months we were gonna use the tax return to buy a nice used car, in the past 3 months, we replaced the rad, the radio broke due to an inline fuse, behind the dash not fixed, all the freon leaked out o the air, the tire goes flat, and now the friggin timing belt lol oh and the gas guege is off by a 1/4 of a tank, we were in the middle of nowhere, when the car ran out of gas and it said 1/4 tank! that car is a p.o.s

Sounds like you got your share and some other shares of problems, Tater. When I lived in Porter it was US 41 racing. I rode BMW's so in short, no I don't know him.
For temperaries I would use your other tank off your racing bike and ya be careful not to rip the screens off in the petcock if you don't have a fuel filter. Denny is right about confined fumes. Air it out real good, could even set a fan on it for awhile. If you want to ship me your old tank, I will weld it or braze up for you.
I saw a couple of cheap good looking old style moped tanks go for 15.00 dollars or so on Ebay.
If you use the JB weld, make sure the paint is off, it's dry and rough up the area with rough sand paper.
Oh yeah, tell your Pa not to buy another Neon. Ha Ha

You know Tater, now that I think about it, there is a Honda shop in Valpo that might have a few old junk tanks to pick from. I think it was B&E Honda. Give him a call and see what he's got in the bone yard.

There is a product that is made just for fixing leaking gas tanks on cars.It comes with two parts that are mixed and can be used while tank is still full of fuel and dripping. I have used it and it works, costs about 8 bucks here so I'm sure you can get it for a buck and change in USA. (I get so mad! lol) Much like the JBweld

would that be at autozone etc? and whats the life of that, keep in mind we have tons of potholes, and this bike has no suspension, and the hole is at a stud

I will look it up for you and get back but yes I would guess that you can get it there. Stuff works and drys like a rock. Your roads may be bumpy but still, the tank should not have to be so tight. Some will laugh but if I were you I would repair tank and get some of that spray foam and use the straw it comes with and spray underside of tank area to mount tank in place. That stuff grows and when dry, you can cut extra off with a knife.Use gloves as it will not come off your skin.

I just searched" fix leaking gas tank " and found many products including "gas safe JB weld". There is also another product that you use inside the tank. They say to cover hole with tape, pour stuff into tank and shake around and let dry.You should just go to any parts store and ask. All this stuff has been around for at least 20 years that I know of. If you are trying to save money, my solution will cost under 20 bucks.

cool, i might try that before shipping it, cause i need it asap, cause it was 40 yesterday 40today and supposed to be 40 tommro, so mabey some snow will melt and i can go on an actual RIDE lol not just a trip around the block lol, plus im the gofer lol ive been to auto zone 3 times 2 day already, i didnt go to school lol and every thing is slush, and that fender dont work worth a............ well it dont work very well, i cut off a box flap and taped it to my fender lol cause everything is slush, BROWN slush ugh.... and all the cars are leaving huge frozen car poops lol thats what we call the buildup on the mud flaps
