Five stars wow!! You even painted the inside cover of ur engine. This is truly ur hobby. Who does this? Impressive
 
It says for insulation, so maybe its a rubber substance. I wonder if that would help the people who are putting cardboard cut outs in their clutch covers for noise reduction.
 
Glyptal is used to insulate automotive electronics like older generators and starters. Also works great in certain parts of an engine like oil galleys to aid in oil return to the oil pump pick up and keeps the oil much cleaner than passing over bare cast iron. I used it to eliminate any possibility of arcing.
