I did this because I didn't want a long muffler by the chainstay, and the stock pipe hit the downtube because of the tall motor mount. (carb is level though!) This muffler works ok, but don't use one without the chute or at least plug the center hole. There needs to be some back pressure bc. its just an empty box. It works like a Expansion Chamber and sounds about like a LawnBoy 2 cycle mower.
2 Cycle mowers are fun. I always liked them, even if they weren't the most powerful. They spin really fast and cut well, and its good to have the same fuel for all weeders and mowers.
