After inspection the culprit was a broken clutch gear. I purchased some after market replacement parts and went ahead and threw on a new piston, rings

Hey Jeff, I know you posted this pic and comment in 2011. I was just wondering if you found an engine yet thats TOTALLY made in the USA. As far as I know, Almost any engine you could put on a bike is made in China. Honda would be the best choice but even that is Japanese, not US. If you've found a US made engine please let me know. A LOT of people would be interested in it.
