This bike had been sitting on the side of my house with weeds growing through the spokes. I still had a fond place in my heart for this mid-stretch workhorse that I pedaled for several thousand miles. I had an old springer fork and some Wald baskets that I took off "OCD". Just needed a chinagirl.

Cleaning up the bike, I had a vision of a long and low cargo machine, like a Buick Roadmaster wagon. I removed the spring from the springer fork, installed new light-grey tires and tubes, dropped the seat to the min height, and installed a brand new 48cc chinagirl. Never tried a "small block" chinagirl before, so I figured I'd give it a whirl. Worst case, swap to a 66 in under a half hour.

The bike is 81" long and seat height is only 30". The top tube just before seatpost comes up to my knee. The baby HT48 turned out to be a little gem, although lacking a noticeable amount of grunt compared to the "big block". By far the smoothest and quietest chinagirl I have ever run, it sounds like a whispering chainsaw at it's 1200RPM idle.
