Seems as tho , many others suggest the friction drives aswell. Probably more due to performance and speed wise. Not sure how well or how long the drive peg would last or how much it would wear on the rubbe.r... something I'm sure all of you friction drive heads have already considered, but for me I just see chain drives more reliable.
That a very pricey for a bike by the way!! It'll be like your baby lol. Guaranteed you can find a used bike like that on CL. If I lived closer to the city, I would probably already have this project done lol.

RC engines have been used successfully in motorized bicycles.

The most popular one is the CY460 4.5hp engine. I have ridden a friction drive 460 to 45mph.

The engine has a LOT of torque. Once, it dug divots in literally every inch of my rear tire.
 
@2StrokeMama I haven't , but i have had allot if nitro rc cars . your right they are super expensive and another down fall is the tuning . may as well carry a temp gun and a screw driver every where you go . sounds like you know exactly what your doing . dont take advice from anyone that hasn't built one, like me lol
