Staton has been sitting on that gearbox for three months. Still no word from him, except that he'll look at it.

Good to hear that gearbox is getting some use! I really would like to see what it would do with twin gp460's!!! Maybe when i come back from my next deployment ill pick another engine up and the gear box and give it a go... I really would like to break 60mph! Good to see youre still riding man! It keeps me motivated.

      Hey Rick!
Yes, my bike is pretty much done, and I've been using it as a daily commuter. However, I ran over an object on a wet road, which kicked up and took out my engine chain and front derailleur. I'm on vacation, so it should be fixed soon. Your twin box was sent to Staton in September. As usual, he's dragging his tail. I wouldn't be surprised if Staton hasn't even started on it. Good to hear from you. Myron

Myron! Good to hear from you sir! I just got back to america a few weeks ago from iraq for work. Its been a busy year and will continue to be a handful but Ive got a little break in between jobs so im going to get my steed up and kIckin again. I actually found a dual suspension that might work with my over the tire set up. But im here in texas so riding will be a bit more difficult with the higher speeds around here. Its good to hear you got the bike perfected, are you still riding? Hope all is well sir and when i get back out to the islands ill be sure to do a little catching up!

hey bud, i was wondering if you did something with the dual engine box yet?

What you could do is run a length of exhaust hose from your stock muffler. Then end the hose with an SBP lawn-mower-style muffler. I think it costs about $8.00

hey bud got your motor back to you today, sorry to drop in unexpected but i wanted to get it back to you sooner. i few notes about what i did: replaced the stock gasket with the copper .005 gasket, it has an ngk iridium spark plug now, new filter, tore apart the carb (which was filled with hair) cleaned it, fasioned a screw to the top coner of the engine guard as a kind of mount to hold the exhaust in place, replaced the clutch springs but they did feel a bit stiff not sure it it was because they were new or if they are just stiffer... might cause the motor to engage later? with the new gasket you'll need to run 93 octane it putter'd a bit on low octane fuel. I must say that that motor is by far the meanest thing ive seen for less than 50cc's!!! Also good news, got the dual engine gear box on the way, staton finally gave me the opportunity to pick one up! all i need is another dual cable handle a throttle cable, some mods to hook up the peanut tank and we should be in business!

Yep.The most usable range for me will be halfway(1.75) to .65:1. Above that would be tractor pulling. Dual Hondas should be reliable and good on gas mileage for you. Another member here gets over 150mpg with shift kit and 460 engine. I used to get 65mpg with 460 engine and friction drive. Shift kit and NV hub should deliver great mpg and speed. We'll see.

shift kit and nuvinci? youre startin to sound like a tractor trailor! considering the cost of the 460 is close to the same as the cost of the dual engine kit i may sacrifice a bit of the power for the reliability.

      Hey Rick,
Yeah, I'm ready for "Project 29". The NuVinci hub and 460 engine goes into that, along with shift kit. I'll probably see Ed this weekend; you can give him the engine for me. Yeah, Dave isn't your typical businessman to deal with. Ya might want to email him about the gear, lest he forgets. No problem with the loan, I hope you get yours soon.

Hey bud! Ed told me youre ready for that motor back. It's ready when you are. Im just waitin for the clutch springs to come in and it should be back in business. I got an iridium plug for it replaced the head gasket with the copper .005 gasket. it definatley needs 93 octane if ya got it. Runnin dual expansion chambers gave it a bit more power as well if thats something you have room for. He also mentioned you got the nuvinci in, i hope you love it as much as i do! Also waitin for staton to get my gear out to me as well. as soon as it gets here ill just hand over the newest one. Thanks again for all of the loans, i am indebted to you sir!

that is exceptional news! i have a small external tank from my keyang and if i remember correctly ed said he has a couple spare 1/2 gallon tanks, so no worries there. so in the end product i wont simply be running the stock gp460 but one with a performance head on it?! i get this strange feeling you are in fact trying to get me killed... i like it! =)

oh buddy, that 460 is the one i was lookin at on dave's! man i would love to give that thing a try. i get a little nervous, as i did with the nuvinci, about droppin the cash without a little first hand experience. let me know when you want me to swing by. if you'd like i can bring it by and we can do the swap at your place to get a little more hands on on my bike... im all but sold on the 460 and am willing to drop the hammer on one i just needed a little further investigation but i think first hand experience will be much more valuable and solidifier of my decision. let me know!

soo as i looked through the archives i found a posting of your from 2007 talking about the 25cc zenoah's. sounds like it could work and i have the perfect platform to try it. the only thing holding me back from getting one is that the juice isnt worth the squeeze if it breaks in two weeks...

so id like to get your opinion on these particular motors. ive been looking at them and its kind of a "too good to be true" scenario. the motors claim upwards of 4 hp at 25-30cc at 14000 rpm's. this sounds good but the question of reliability comes in to play and id hate to make an awful mistake... your thoughts?
