In Nevada a motorized bicycle is classified as a moped. By definition of the law, a moped must not:
- produce more than 2bhp.
- have an engine bigger than 50cc.
- reach speeds greater than 30mph on flat ground.
If your motorized bicycle fits within the above criteria then you must carry a regular Class C drivers license or higher to ride it in Nevada.
You do not need to register or have insurance for your motorized bicycle in Nevada as long as it fits within the above definition of a moped.
