I just started my new build for the first time, I'm not very experienced with engine trouble and have never had this problem before ,I started up my bike for the first time and it has a serious problem with back firing, if anyone can give me some advice I'd greatly appreciate it, it did eventually start and didn't sound too bad ,I haven't had a chance to adjust the carburetor yet but would like to try again tomorrow , just not sure what the issue is.
It is a gt6 with a high performance CD I coil, NGK plug.

back firing can be a CDI that is weak, but with a new engine, I'd first check all the usual air leaks & leaky gaskets & seals

running it a few times may straighten it out if rings are poorly seated too

Some of the bangs and pops came out of the carburetor as well, thanks, I 'll check out all the area you pointed out.
