This is now my 4th bike build and I wanted to show everyone as I go to get feedback. I was unhappy with my results on my last 3 builds. Also, I've found this forum to be a really helpful, friendly and informative community, anyway here it goes. So in excitement, I impulsively purchased the HD 2 stroke shifter kit at sickbikeparts.com I know now I wasnt fully processing that this kit is not a "jackshaft" which is fine because ultimately I didn't want the "jackshaft kit", i was wanting a "shift kit" that idea is really awesome to me. Luckily, even though i misunderstood I got the right kit,(i think). I got my "shifter kit" in the mail today. This is my 4th bike build I'm starting. I've had a blast with the other 3 builds. Thank you all to anyone that has helped answer my questions. This is the bike that I'll be installing the shifter kit on along with a new motor kit I already had. I'm undecided about which of the two handlebars to put on it. Well thanks again everyone. I really value your feed back.

Ok,,, next idea in the mix...

Has anyone """left-side""" pedal bike gear side totally independent,,, do all of the power on left side of bike... with selective gearing...

Lets say a 2 stoke engine chain too CVT variable speed drive belt,,, too chain too rear hub...

And attach the rear disk to back CV pully...
Bolt rear hub sproket too a floating shockproof neoprene cushion.. attach hub to other side of cushion block... 👍

That way the rear sproket can be neoprene cushion shock pillowed too beefy rear hub feed by chain #2... just like dirt bike internal rear hub rubber shock system...

We would end up with shock proof left hand drive,,, smooth flow belt drive shifting ,,, can use the main engine clutch to stop cvt from spinning...

A properly set-up cvt would allow for massive torque up the hills,,, and a 1.13 over dive on the flats...

They do take up some real estate on the bike,,, adds about 3 to 5 lbs,,, but we would end up with a variety of speeds with nill drive train shock at $75 to $100 Usd funds...

the comet 20 is rated for 3 to 9 hp...

Just asking is all 👍

Don

PS:

These twin pully clutchs come independent too,,, that way we can set the driven and the drive where we want...

They also sell clutch tuning kits of different weights and springs so we can fine tune them for our applications...
Bicycle-engines.com has a 50-tooth rear wheel timing belt drive and matching drive sprocket.
I believe it's for the China Girl (CG)engine.
It would be possible to modify a go kart 90-tooth timing sprocket to fit the rear wheel. The simplest way would be to match the timing bolt holes onto a standard CG sprocket.
The 14t-20t 8mm drive sprocket has a tapered 1/2 tapered bore. This would have to be bored, then welded onto the 5/8" jackshaft.

Thank you. I also ordered a 23-11t cassette. And brand new rims and tires. I'm also replacing all the hard ware for my shift kit I ordered it from sickbikeparts already. Its due time my hardware is shot out. I ordered a dual spark plug head for the engine does anyone have experience with these? I'm also takin everything off my bike and gonna sand it and paint it

Why do you keep changing gears, before even running the gear combinations?

Yes, but you haven't tried it with the combinations I suggested.
Unless you install stiff first gears like 42t or 34t or 32t, you won't see any performance improvement by changing cassettes.

I am putting the bike back together I just finished painting it. I put a 36t chaining on in place of the 44t that was on there. I replaced all my hardware. Got new rims and tires. I'm waiting for a long offset intake to get here because the short still is a tight squeeze for the carb. I installed a new magneto and a performance coil I put a 3 prong spark plug In. I'm also waiting for my exhaust to get here. It should be here tomorrow. I'll post a photo when it's all back together. I also got a front mount from sickbike parts which works so much better.

I appreciate your advice. My problem is I'm impulsive and also I am severe ADHD. So I tend to do 10 things at once. I'm lucky if I finish. Working on MB's is therapeutic for me tho. So I actually finished. Here is my almost final bike. It's like a total different bike. Lol. I'm just waiting for my exhaust to come in the mail.
