This is now my 4th bike build and I wanted to show everyone as I go to get feedback. I was unhappy with my results on my last 3 builds. Also, I've found this forum to be a really helpful, friendly and informative community, anyway here it goes. So in excitement, I impulsively purchased the HD 2 stroke shifter kit at sickbikeparts.com I know now I wasnt fully processing that this kit is not a "jackshaft" which is fine because ultimately I didn't want the "jackshaft kit", i was wanting a "shift kit" that idea is really awesome to me. Luckily, even though i misunderstood I got the right kit,(i think). I got my "shifter kit" in the mail today. This is my 4th bike build I'm starting. I've had a blast with the other 3 builds. Thank you all to anyone that has helped answer my questions. This is the bike that I'll be installing the shifter kit on along with a new motor kit I already had. I'm undecided about which of the two handlebars to put on it. Well thanks again everyone. I really value your feed back.

Are you going to strip and paint the frame> As for the handlebars, it's a matter of the riding position you like best. I like the wide pull backs myself, they give a nice comfy ride, where not all hunched over.

I dont have the equipment to strip and paint it or I would.

I kinda like what ya got going on with the stickers. Just put 33 more stickers on the frame and you can get a cool look.
P/U a sticker sheet from your local dirt bike store It has around 33 or more stickers on it.
Who needs paint when ya got stickers

A jackshaft and shifter kit is really the same thing just a different name. Some guys love em, and some hate them. I think they are great. They transfer thre power from the left side of the bike to the right side. The sick bike jackshaft is the better kit. Heres my jackshaft bike.

Wow! Nice bike. It looks like your air filter is facing forward. Would you consider showing us some pictures of how you fabbed it up?
Thanks. Yup its facing forward. I'm not sure if I like it like that yet. It just fits better that way. I may still change it once I actually get to ride it. I finished it around Christmas and haven't started or ridden it yet. It doesn't want to stop snowing here southern ontario and it's killing me lol. I used a 1 1/4 copper street elbow and a connector soldered together to make the elbow a little longer and then 2 of the 32mm carburetor connector grommets to connect it together. Also had to modify the frame to get the engine to fit. Here's some more pics.

Where did you find a Flux Capacitor? I've been looking for one of those since 1982.

That bike is awesome. So as for the engine i was going to use one with 8mm studs that i already had but i ordered one and in came in the mail today that has 6mm studs. Its gonna be a tight fit but it will fit. Also, This bike came with shimano "finger shifters"/ brake lever combo for the front brakes/ front derailleur and back brakes/back derailleur so since there is no more front derailleur I'm going to use the shifter for the clutch lever instead that way it's always locked when I would "pull the lever" I would be shifting one gear and to release the lever I would should shift the opposite direction to reengage the clutch. But here is the work I did last night. I'm going to work on it again right now.
