Fuel Mixture 2-stroke oil vs Automatic Transmission Fluid

THAT'S IT! WE NEED SCENTED OILS!

If these engines will run dilute mixes of oils, think of the possibilities...
Coffee-scented oils... Run a bike up and down in front of Starbucks for sublimal hints.
Strawberry oils... Keep the extreme-green-guys in a good mood.
Banana oils... Run a bike up and down in front of a bakery to make passer-bys hungry.
Recycled hamburger grease... Ditto in front of McD's and Burger King.

There is advertising money to be made!

(Whew! I hope this 3-hour O/S download finishes soon. I need to get back to work.)

Wasn't there some kind of cherry smelling fuel additive back in the days before evil catalytic converters?

Herbal gas additive

You've got people who put "super performance enhancing" gas additives in their cars and you've got people who take herbal supplements because they're "natural/ancient/chemical free" etc. Why not cater to both with all natural herbal gas additives? Most herbal remedies would be just as effective in your car as they are in your body and they'd probably be less dangerous. Likewise, they'd do just as good a job as those performance enhancing gas additives they sell by the gas station cashier, and without all those nasty chemicals. If you wanted to push the boundaries of honesty you could sell it as a greenhouse gas reducer. Point out that for every gallon of "Natures Touch Herbal Gasoline Additive" in your tank you burn one less gallon of gas. If someone points out that you'll just have to drive longer to get where you're going due to your engine running less efficiently, accuse them of working for the big oil companies or being a Republican.

"Please note unmistakable ‘sweet’ smell like they say on the net.

You can tell when someone run alcohol with bean oil in two strokes motorcycle races. What I have read that don't mix it up unless you use it. I would think to mix a half of bean oil and reg oil to see what happen.

I mentioned a third category of base oils earlier, vegetable or Castor (not Castrol, that’s a manufacturer) bean oil. This oil is derived from pressing oil out of castor beans and distilling it. ‘Bean Oil’ as it is often referred to, has some very unique characteristics; some very good, others not so good. The good is that it is an excellent lubricant. It seeks out hot spots in the engine and clings to those hot surfaces much better than petroleum type oils. The bad is that it does not mix with gasoline easily and it burns ‘dirty’ (excessive carbon/varnish deposits). In the early 70s, before power valves were used, castor bean oil was very popular in racing 2-strokes. Now that power valves are common and we have improved petroleum and synthetic oils, castor bean oil is seldom used anymore. Several companies still market it in the form of a degummed castor oil for racing applications only. It should be avoided for recreational use unless you enjoy tearing your engine down for a top end cleanup fairly often. Several manufacturers formulate their oil with castor bean oil as an additive (antiwear agent) rather than base oil. They blend it with their petroleum and synthetic base oils. When castor bean oil burns, it has an unmistakable ‘sweet’ smell.

Bean blending degummed castor with synthetic for several years now. No issues.

degummed castor oil mixed with synthetic 2 stroke.

Hi Pablo.
You said that you've been doing this for years and that it gives you better high temp protection and ring seal. I'm inclined to trust a guy with your experience. So what are the ratios of mix. I'd like to try this out. cheers for the tip.:helmet:

I am hoping that the microdiesel engines will become available for the blue collar man. I saw an antique 1950's one that was the coolest little motor. It mounted on a beach bike frame and turned a roller.

For now, I'll stick to Echo weeder oil and Home Depot 2cycle mix.
