21 million e-bikes sold last year in China. That's amazing.

Government pushed to ease pollution and traffic congestion. The chinese are used to using a bike for short commutes. The e-bike fits extremely well with their society. I doubt it could ever catch on that much in the US but you never know!

Good for them!

In this way, at least, they are showing more wisdom than we are.

But they sure could be that big here. I guess it'll take high oil prices to do it. And that's a shame, but it's likely to happen one way or another.

A good friend was in China last year, five years since his last visit.
He said the difference was noteworthy, few ICE powered bikes on the streets, almost all electric now.
