Hey all:

I have a 2019 phatmoto rover and a 212cc predator. It is SO close to fitting perfectly, but I don't have a short head. Its out of stock everywhere. Does anyone have one? Either that or do you have any tips for fitting it? Anywhere i can grind down a bit? Thanks guys, you're the best

Is it possible to tilt the engine to make it fit?

It might be possible to just cut down the stock valve cover and weld it to the size of the short one ?

Try to find spare valve covers.

Cut the top off of a cover, leaving a 1/4” tall flange.

Carefully trial fit the engine with this cover.

If it clears, try adding the cover top that you had cut otf.

If need be, trim to fit.

Then have the cover pieces brazed back on.

Plug the vent hole, using the oil sensor hole or governor post to vent the engine.

Good luck.

What would the advantage of brazing be over welding? Thank you for the help, ill be sure to try this!

First advantage is ya only need a torch and ya don't need a welding machine
