212cc engine won’t go full throttle

Hello,
I installed a new 212cc predator engine on my Coleman mini bike but when I crank the throttle it Boggs and does not go more then 10mph, I swapped the carb and this issue still happens. The govener is removed but the swing arm is still in the engine and the spark plug is clean and normal. It also produces a lot of black smoke out of the exhaust. Please help and leave your suggestions down below!

I believe black smoke is oil getting past the piston rings. So, on a new engine, I would take it back for an exchange. But since you have a clean spark plug, I am not sure. Black smoke surely would have an impact on the plug.

I’m going to check the plug again, could it be the CDI and I’m just burning to much gas? Would that produce the smoke?

your wayy too rich on the jet then.
if its black smoke thats unburned gas getting out of the exhaust.
try a smaller jet and see if that fixes it.

The jet is stock and untouched, should I buy a smaller jet?

huh? weird, did they include another jet with it?
try the other one. it could also be the air filter soaked in oil and causing it to misfire.

kinda off the wall ? Is that a older 212 Harbor Freight Greyhound motor. I ask cuz of the blue recoil cover. If so might be a old (new to you) motor that may have been damaged. I don’t know !
