Hi I have a StingRay Chopper and I had wanted to get a 212cc predator to put on it without cutting and welding the frame much I was wondering if that was possible. And is there anywhere I could potentially get a cheap reliable clutch for the bike?

Hi Carlos.

Your clutch is probably 3/4" size, the most popular, low cost and available.

You could spend from $15 to $400 on Ebay.

HOWEVER, before you buy one, you should decide if you're getting a Torque-Verter or not.
If you get one, then no clutch needed.

Make sure that your gear ratio is low(high numerically).

If not, your clutch will take a beating and might burn out.

It'd be like driving your driving your 5-speed truck from a stop in 2nd or 3rd gear.

What do you mean high numerically, like a big or small sprocket?

What do you recommend? I had looked up lower gear ratio vs high gear ratio and the high give me better fuel mileage and higher top speed but the lower gear ratio gives me more speed from the start

Another member geared their 212cc bike at 7.8:1 and reached 65mph @ 7300rpm.

With low gears, your bike might wheelstand, especially if you install a Torque-Verter.

With high gears, your clutch takes a beating.

You might not get the correct gear ratio on the first try.

Check out Youtube.
They have quite a few 212 Chopper bikes.

Also, research both forums on 212 bikes.

How much do you weigh?

Are you going to putter around in town, up to 50mph max?

Or are you looking to go much faster?

I’m planning to go around 40 mph at max distance around 30 miles at a time and I’m also 155lbs
