Heres another fix. This petcock goes the other way than yours does...

Go for the cheapest, quickest, most sensible way that doesn’t damage the frame.

I like the plate but not drilling through the frame. The line would be the right idea with me . Nothing against the plate idea which is great.

Get a longer piece of hose and run it forward and then loop it back away from the exhaust. Easy peasy, and costs a dollar.

Oh yes.

Brass fitting at the tank, loop fuel line to the left and relocate that same petcock.

Rubber sheet or tubing pieces stacked below back end of the tank. Works great, petcock doesn't hit frame and makes gas tank sit more level so slightly more gas can be held inside.

I got it done . Dad said use a swimming pool noodle or one that Plummer’s use on pipes so I cut one. I just put it on one end like maybe 3 or 4 inches on frame bar mounted the tank on top of it . Bam raised up just enough. Can’t even tell it there.Thanks

I was pis**d off I didn’t think of that.I really didn’t think it would work because I thought tightening down it would compress. I tighten it pretty good too it ain’t moving.
