4 stroke 79cc beast.Can I adjust gears to fit a 3”beach bum rear tire

I have a bbc gas frame bike with tank in the frame,and just bought the 79cc beast bike kit.I noticed that the gears on the trans case that drives the rear sprocket has adjustable gearing,can I use the smaller spacers to reverse the gear and use a 3”beach bum tire
