Clutch 40 tooth W/clamshell

coaster brake isn't too bad of one doesn't use it, but on rough roads it can be hard to get pedal to bottom so one can stand on it a bit to avoid a butt pounding, and on uphill starts. it can be hard to get it in right place to start pedaling hard

Ya my days of dirt bike riding are over, so the layout of a strandcruiser is more comfortable than the mountain bike layout. My 2nd bike I built was on a specialized w cruiser bars much lighter bike, but it broke at the seat post tube at MMnt after a year of daily commuting 30 mi.I've thought about building another on a 24" frame w 26" wheels if that would work.

there are both huffy & schwinn from china with very small 26" frames that have 7 speeds & real brakes

Ya I'd probably be looking for a used bike, I'm kind of setup for cruiser bikes with the spare parts I have. I have a older Schwinn cruiser 5 speed that I was going to build but frame diameter is 15/16" and I'd have to do some work for motor mounts and I like having it for the times I want to just pedal. So the smaller mtn bike is just a thought.
