49cc pocket bike reduction gearbox for huasheng 49cc?

hi wondering if a 49cc pocket dirt bike reduction gearbox is ok to use on a huasheng 142f 49cc? i keep breaking the standard trans and i believe the pocet bike ones are tougher even tho they are single chain... same 76mm clutch bell, so if i weld on or change the gearbox sprocket to motorised bike chain will that work ok? cheers
