49mm steel sleeved trash...

mainly clean the casting trash around the ports, cut the transfer openings up to match the tops of the ports and bevel all the port opening to help keep the rings from snagging and they work just fine. i just beat the hell out of everything. thats why i cant have nice things. but i have a lot of fun in the process.
I guess I got lucky, mine runs great out of the box now that I figured out what the problem was… it was a bit of a pain but now I’m enjoying the break in and can’t wait til I can squeeze a little more power out of it.

I did clean up the ports and chamfer them as soon as I got it. I’d like to port it in stages to kind of see what changes affect what.

Pushing something to its limit is part of the fun, it’s great to see how much an engine can take especially after building it up. Fixing it when it breaks is another bit of fun at least to me. Luckily these engines are somewhat affordable too.
