Dear Fellow Motorheads-
Just hit 60 miles on the odometer and not exceeding 15 mph. Mixing 26:1 as I normally do. What's a good break in mileage? I was told 2 tankfuls by the seller and am curious as to what other forum members think. Won't be doing any high speed runs, as the coaster brake/front brake combo just aren't that effective. That's okay, as I was never one for speed with my 49cc and am happy putting along around 20, just smelling the flowers;)-Gearhead222

Up the quality of the pads on the front brake and consider running a rear rim brake.

Understood and thanx all. I posted once before, but my Hyper Cruiser rear cross piece has only 1 gussetted hole and it's in the wrong location to mount any caliper brake. The front has high quality Tektra brakes with larger than stock pads-Gearhead437

You can create another mount with two plates like this. After all that I should have tried for a center pull caliper. The side pull don't seem to work as well.

Great idea, Robe! Where did you get the steel plate? FWIW, I used the cheapest stock side pull brakes on my 49CC motobike and they worked great! Gearhead 437
