Hi everybody. I received the new piston, wristpin clips, and jug in the mail after a wristpin clip ear broke and damaged the piston, rings, and jug. Bike currently runs very well (again), and will pull 33MPH on level ground at about 1/2 throttle and 175 self with backpack.

I use 91 octane ethanol free gas, NGK plug, and Supertech synthetic oil and 1.5 OZ MMO per gal of gas at about a 38 to 40:1

Now for the pictures. The piston & jug has 250 miles on them( 6 months). Bottom end has 488 miles total( 1 year). Ave speed is about 26-28 MPH at 1/4 throttle on flat ground. I have some hills that require 3/4 throttle or more, at avg speed 20 MPH. I always go easy first 1/2 mile to let it warm up. I hit 36.8 (once) down hill, full throttle. Also once i went from cold engine to full throttle up 1/2 mile hill with zero warm up time. Now i do not know how much damage was caused by these few things, but overall i say this engine lives a pretty easy life.

So the jug appears like decent id say? No scratches, groves, and feels smooth overall.

Piston looks to have carbon build up on top & a little on sides. 3rd pic looks like scratches on side?

And head gasket looks shot.

Anyway, What do you think about the wear after 250 miles? Should i use a better synthetic oil? Maybe change it to 35:1? Or keep it all the same and ride ride ride!? Thanks All!
