8mm Bearing lost

    i have lost the 8mm bearing in the clutch assembly, the ball not the rod. i have cut a 35mm long piece of 8mm rod to put in there instead does it matter if the ball isnt there

    Yes it does matter get another ball bearing , also never use normal steel for the bucking bar it must be proper tool steel and hardened so as not to mushroom and destroy the clutch shaft

    if you can't find hardened 8mm in h/w store, a 5/16 works just fine and is fairly common

    ok thank you i took a 8mm ball bearing out of an old bearing at work and its working good now

    I know right I had to buy some from my bike shop this past summer.
