97cc engine swap!

It's been a while, so I decided to swap my engine! It's a 97cc baja mini bike engine (got it for free, my buddie didnt want it and couldn't get it running) it's a gx100 clone. So far I made a mount for it and got the old engine removed and switched the duel brake lever to the left side. So far it looks like it's going to work! I'll keep you updated on how this goes (also bypassed the govener, and the clutch should be here next week!)

UPDATE:
I got the throttle hooked up as well as the fuel tank. So far it looks promising! I ordered a clutch for it, it should come in this Friday!

Idk if that's a gx100 clone that looks like a flathead to me. There's no tin OHV cover on the top like on a gx100. Unless it's an older clone. I have a spare old 3hp briggs and stratton flathead (127cc). I think it would be cool on something.

its a flat head, i thought it was a older gx100 clone, as baja stopped making them around 2013. it might be a 3hp briggs cone for all i know lol.
it currently have it up and running! but it needs a gear reducer (i have a spare one so im putting it on tomorrow) it runs mint!
 
Nice, I think those upright flatheads are neat because they are so compact. I once tried to find one for my bike (only engine of this class that fits in my frame) but didn't have any luck at the time. Slightly larger than a HS49, they can easily make twice the power!
 
Coleman is still putting them in their minibikes and gokarts. yeah kinda looks like Briggs but I had the 196cc and it was diff too
i have a 196 on my baja warroir, there fun bikes!
i modifited mine a bit (6 degree advance timing, heaveir valve springs, govener removed, rejet carb, emolisn tube, etc) i would estimate 9hp
its fun when you go fast!
 
:UPDATE #2

i got the clutch yesterday and had to get some #40 chain (the clutch isnt compatable with 415 chain)
had to reweld the plate to the engine would sit farther right.
i took it out for a test drive, it runs!!!!
but i have to hook up a gear reducer becuse its geared wayy to high, (i have to pedal to get it moving)
ill post some pictures when i get home (been a long day at school, cant wait for it to be over :rolleyes:)
