i use to sell the kits myself £200 mainly by word of mouth.very little proffit in it and got caught for excessive amounts of customs tax a couple of times.i was buying the 50cc&80cc ones and importing them one at a time.found people used to want to buy them for next to nothing if i took any around to the vehicle shows i went too.mainly did it for fun.heres a pic of another engine i also used to sell.

Solex life engine

So is the Solex like engine still available? I would like to create a Solex replica using a new bike and updated parts. I am thinking the Electra Amsterdam would be pretty classic. That red engine is perfect where is it made. - rod
