That curved steel plate with the Whizzer emblem that mounts over the fork tops behind the headlight...how is it attached?

Do the wires and control cables run through the gap at the top of the plate?

Thanks...
HAL

Hal, that just pops on or off. It's held on by compressing the foam surrounding the bars on the upper part of the fork. The wires leading to the lights should exit below the plate. If the control runs from the handlebars are passing through the front of the triple tree fork, then you need to change that so they will feed in from behind. You will need to disconnect each wire where they meet the harness and reattach them behind. Keep in mind that they should be kept in front of the head tube, but behind the top and bottom braces for the triple tree. I hope I'm explaining this without being too confusing. Let me know if I should photograph mine and post the pic.

Hey Kilroy:

I'm afraid I don't understand what the "triple tree", the "head tube", and the "top and bottom braces" are, so photos of yours would be greatly appreciated!

I don't want to disconnect and reconnect wires only to find that I've routed them incorrectly.

I would like Oscar to appear "well-groomed"!

Thanks...
HAL

Pics are here

Okay, I went and shot photos of what I was trying to explain. Hal, the "Triple Tree" is what most people call the front fork arrangement on the Whizzer. The top and bottom braces are the flat chrome pieces holding it onto the steering tube. Here are the pics.
First, here is what it looks like with the front plate on and all tidied up:

Now, here it is with the front plate off:

Now, from the left side, see how the control runs feed into the area behind the plate. They will cross in front of the head tube:

Now, here is the wiring harness and how it feeds into the area behind the plate from the right side:

Lastly, send me your e-mail and I'll send you the pdf file of the wiring schematic. I hope this all helps!

Great info: Hijack:--on the front turnsignals that you have ( I have the same ); are you running 2 wires or just the one as a running light?

I'm running two wires on each light, one goes to each light's base (mount) where it mounts to the fork. You can see them in the shot where the front plate is off. In the rear the second wire also goes to the base of the light. That's how I was able to ground them from the black wire on the harness.

How did you fit 2 wires? Mine only has one and uses the bracket for Grd. Have you got a pic?
