Hey all...
Looking through my random collection of bits, I came across an old chainring with a 48/38/28 gearing, a front derailer and a chain tensioner.
If the chainring is used 'backwards' (ie. with the smallest wheel on the outside of the axle) and the front derailer under the axle (so its the right shape and works the tension side of the chain) and the chain tensioner is on the slack side of the chain, and the 10 tooth engine output socket is re-ground (or one fabricated) for standard MTB chain... maybe it would work.
Has anyone tried this? I realise that the tension of the chain is critical, but everything is going in the right direction...
