a thought on magneto wiring

was installing a mag, and about to clip & tape the white wire when I realized it was a 2-wire mag with a white wire just soldered to the blue tab of the coil

left the white wire there and taped the end well

now, if blue wire fails with bad connector or burned or broken insulation, I can cut the blue, untape the whire wire and plug it into CDI and as they say in "The Wiz' ease on down the road

haha never seen that before , must have been a Monday morning job! haha
 
yeah, only thing I can think of is some folks bought two wire mags and then complained that they were getting ripped off by having no white wire, so company just soldered one in
