I'd like to add a disc brake to a 1981 Schwinn Cruiser 5. It looks like I will need to replace the springer fork with a suspension fork that has the brackets (bosses?) to hold the caliper. Any suggestions as to where I can get one that will fit (as well as the rotor and caliper)? Also, how is the rotor attached to the wheel? Do I need a new wheel or is there a way put a rotor on an existing wheel? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

new wheels

Thanks, OCSULLY.
I'm still in the planning stage. Would it be easier to wheels that are specially designed for disc rotors? I'm looking for a suspension fork that already has the brackets for the caliper to put on a cruiser. I want to end up with something that looks like a Whizzer but is more dependable. Thanks again.
