All was well on my SE equipped home brew whizzer ... just broken in at 250 miles and running nicely up to 48 mph or so. I just adjusted the valves to 012 per the manual spec and it won't start ... not even burp a little.

I took off the side cover to ensure TDC (both dots aligned ... actually 1 tooth off as it is advanced).

Took off the carb and swung it out of the way

Adjusted valves to 012.

buttoned it back up and now now joy. checked and it is getting spark. Yes I reconnected the fuel line to the carb.

Could the carb being pushed out of the way and upside down have affected adjustment?

Any other ideas?

also is there an easier way to find tdc without removing the side cover?

thanks

got me wondering regarding the UPSIDE DOWN CARB ?????

do you think that could have effected the float in some way ?

maybe check your plug after turning over a few times ---

is your engine flooded ???

hey Adam

ok -- and you have spark

so if we put a teaspoon of gas into the sparkplug hole it should fire a little

correct

simple test -- but - sometimes I need to get it out of the way
