Air filter problem

I will disagree with you on this one Karl...lol...It is a needless complication for any real gain.

Remember, im the guy that specialises with pretty much "stock" setups.

I replaced my NT carby, as you remember a couple weeks ago, which is the best 11 bucks i have spent on this bike, with the JRL Bofeng carby...Its already increased in cost two buck since i bought mine two weeks ago...lol.

The needle valve is even better made, not to mention the carby overall which is just a slightly glorified NT carby...My stock setup will get up to 50 MPH as it sits, (which i will never do again cause it just scares the crap out of me...lol), and I cruise at 1/4 throttle at 30 MPH with no throttle lag whatsoever on the stock intake...What more can be asked of a China Girl???...lol...DAMIEN
That’s about the speed I am aiming for. How do you go so fast with stock parts? It seems that these engines usually top out at 35ish mph.

To me it's just a bar that pushes something. It doesn't care where it bends, as long as it still moves the same. You can also take the pin out of the arm and reposition it and press it back on. That's a little more work though. That's only if you don't like the look of a bent clutch arm.

Here's another option to try thats cheap. You already got the offset that don't help so cut it in half, connect to your stock manifold with 3/4 heater hose to your 45° pipe, now mount the carb.

That’s not a bad idea. I ordered the low profile filter from SBP and am still waiting for it. I have been looking at other posts and others have built the same Kent Thruster as I am and had no issues. I wonder if my engine just needs to be angled a bit more. Pics added to show. The green one is mine.

I dig your StingRay inspired bike, When I was a kid I had a Schwinn Stingray and I put a high sissy bar on it.
I Think you bike would look cool with a high sissy bar, Super Retro 70s style

Thanks. I cut down my original sissy bar. The seat isn’t quite long enough so there was a slight angle. I’m working on making a new one now. I may look into going higher.

I’ve always wanted a StingRay as a kid. I’ve been looking to get one and fix it up for my son when he’s older but they’re not cheap.

You can always make your son a nice replica
