Less carbon buildup could extend engine life. Ever open a cylinder head and see big caked chunks of carbon on the piston and cylinder? but ya there was a weedeater called the LEHR with a propane carburetor but it was only 25cc. Project farm did a video on propane.
What I was saying though is wood gas is a similar fuel that could literally be as cheap as the electricity used to compress it into tanks if the wood is free once set up. It has to be run through a tar trap, condenser and bubbler. Wood gas is mostly hydrogen and methane. Could compress it into the bigger propane cylinders then fill the 1lb tanks for use on a 49cc. Now the LEHR propane weedeaters were said to run 2 hours on a cylinder. 25cc x2=50cc so possibly 1 hour run time on a cylinder but probably less due to load.
