Go to local auto and buy another plug wire, or junk yard, cut it down to the right length. The existing wire will just unscrew from CDI.

I tried, but the wire didn't move, It works fine for right now, but I'll probably revisit this later.

I will tomorrow, but I don't really want to unbolt it out of the box, it's a pain to get in and out, so you'll have to do with it in the box.

Here it is, it looks like it might, it's not an urgent thing, I just want to put the box near the back of the bike.

It will screw out. I put a 8mm wire on my 4X bike, I used my finger sander on the end to get the wire to screw in to the CDI. Just find a solid core wire.

The ones I use have a braided filament in the core, probably carbon fiber.

Not sure if you can see it, but it has a solid silver wire inside the braid.
