And now for something completely different!!

So engine question if I may. . . . ?

What are the 4 cylinder stud /bolt measurements from each other on the China Doll engines?

Are the Minarelli's different?

The RV90 has a very restrictive crankcase reed valve with a 14mm opening.

Thinking of going cylinder reed valve and blocking the case reed valve???

@Gordy ?

50mm x 50mm

The RV90 has 55mm stud spacing on the barrel

50 mm bore

45mm stroke

So Inetersted if a Minarelli barrel can fit??
It would be quite interesting to see you Frankenstein that RV90 engine into something powerful! Maybe you could pike around on some other forums, maybe someone's done something similar before?

Most CG cylinders are 40 mm stroke. You would have to find a tall saw jug. What about opening up the one you have?

The RV has very small case reed, I would have to put a piston port reed set up.

I was thinking I could possibly find something close,

Appreciate the information. Like I have said before, big learning curve.

Had a catch up with a Scrapper, Dave, who also has MTB's

He suggested picking up oan old Kona Stinky and harvesting the running gear off it?

26" wheels. . . .

I also got the seat frame for the FZ50, then sat an early alloy RM125 fuel tank on for a look. . . probably needs someethinga little smaller.

I dig the RM tank. With a small 2 stroke it'll have some serious range. Do you know what gauge spokes that mountain bike has and if they are double wall rims?

When you turn the clamps, do they bang into the tank?

A pit bike tank might fit a little better. Those are plastic, so it won't be so offensive inside.

It was jsut a have a look at it, but the tank stoppers on the TF185 triples hit the stoppers on the FZ50 frame. Something Suzuki is known for as they use set points in the frame etc.

I also want the classic lines of an old curved Suzuki tank, maybe a TS100 or something

Maybe one of the early Yamaha motocross plastic tanks?
