Another question about the ports...bulge from casting

Some would say leave it as is. That the roughness will help the fuel atomize and mix with the air. My self, I'm not sure. Any other engine it's all polished.

I wonder if just fine sanding it a bit to make it smoother...?

Ok, yes, with two gaskets it clears...

Does the piston clear the port on the intake side when the piston is all the way to the top?
