Any advice for putting a motor on a ladies bike?

Funny story, I like working on cars and saw some old shwinn bikes an old lady was selling. I had no idea there were lady and man bikes, so I bought em because they looked cool. Then I got to thinking about putting a lil 80cc motor on the gal, but most require a V shaped frame. I've seen that it's possible, but has anyone every done it? Any advice for a first time builder? Thanks a bunch!

Please show some pics of the bike you would like to put it on...putting a motor on a girls bike CAN be done quite easily...You would just have to mount the gas tank on something like a rear rack that you can put on it to accomodate the tank...I see your from my home state before I moved to NH for 20 years. Then I retired and then moved 11.5 years ago to my retirement paradise of Alamogordo, NM...lol.

Ps...I 'escaped' the Commowealth in 1989 and do not even miss it anymore...lol.

The only problem with putting a engine on a girls bike is: You ain't done yet!!! Yeah I would say hardest thing would be a fuel tank location.

I'm planning on motorizing my 1961 Schwinn Tornado ladies' model, test fitting revealed that the gas tank would sit kinda crooked, but could be filled about 3/4 of the way without major spillage danger. Which is why I got the big 3.5 liter tank for it.
I have bought a flexi-pipe exhaust, which I wanted for this bike anyway and because there was no way the pedal was going to clear the stock exhaust.
I also got extra-long clutch - and throttle cables, since the bike has almost-ape hanger handlebars - which are not original.
