if anybody ever needs help with alternators on thier bike, ask me. ive had one on a scooter, i did it all on my own, with only a good grasp of dc electrical. i failed a lot, and can tell you what will work and what wont. the trouble was worth it. that scooter with gearing for a conservative top speed of 40, will pick the front tire at 20 mph. in the grass traction becomes a huge problem. i used the biggest road car alternator i could get. one out of an 80s caddy. it was rated for 130 amps continous.

i needed a wheelie bar. i had a custom one made out of stainless steel, with some roller skate wheels on the back. mounted to the rear axle and upper motor mounts. that wood was a quickie hitch . i pulled a 300 lb bush across the yard on small flat bed a trailer, because it wouldnt fit in the bobcat bucket. it pulled it just fine. i had it in 1st , but traction was my issue
