The reason for the cheap airfare because they planed a flight much further but there was a stop off the people got off the airliner they have to balance out the weight or jettison the fuel so they would like your fat ass on their airline to balance fuel consumption.
But if you buy the ticket along with the plan then you half to pay full fair cuz yours in the works of balancing weight fuel consumption and whoever's fat ass to make it a safe trip. But you are not guaranteed a seat at the last minute trip.

Yes you right, there are restriction on bringing LION batteries on a airplane. It's determined by the watt hour of the battery
100 wh - 160 wh is what lap top computers use and that's the limit. If ya want to bring a back up battery for your computer ya have to get advanced permission for that from the airline.
A E-Bike Lion battery is way more than 160 wh So no, ya can't bring an E-Bike battery with ya on a plane.

I think it might work if you extended the wings 20' feet stabilize with a wheel it might work and chances are better facing a windy day.
